Hi Everyone. My name is Dr. Diane.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Florida, who has been in practice for over 28 years. As careers evolve, so do philosophies. I have been an advocate for treating the mind, body, and spirit together, long before holistic practices became a mainstay in popularity. These days, I completely and wholeheartedly embrace working with the mind, body, and spirit to effect change. I also promote working at the level of the soul.
In the end, and when you think about it, it's really all about love. For yourself and for other people.
As far as traditional psychotherapy is concerned, I have a fondness for cognitive-behavioral and Rogerian (humanistic) styles. Yet, over the years, I have found that traditional "talk-therapy" alone does not do it all. Plus, the results are not as quick or long-lasting as when combined with alternative treatments.
Depending on individual preferences, I ask my clients if they would like to introduce other healing modalities into their treatment plan. These options may include any combination of: guided meditation, essential oils, plant and energy medicines, acupressure, spirituality, and Ericksonian style hypnosis.
